FAQ

How long will it take for my order to be dispatched?
All orders are hand poured in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, and dispatched within 4 business days.

How long will it take my order to reach me?
Metropolitan areas of Australia can expect their parcel to be delivered 1-4 business days after dispatch. Rural areas of Australia should expect their order to arrive 2-7 business days after dispatch. Please select 'express postage' at checkout if you require your order sooner than this.

Do you ship outside of Australia?
At the moment Nola & Bear only ship Australia-wide.

How much does shipping cost?
Nola & Bear offer flat rate shipping of $10 for all orders. Express shipping is available for $15 and can be selected at checkout.

Can I pick up my order?
Nola & Bear's studio is within our family home, and therefore we do not have pick up as an option at this stage.

Do Nola & Bear candles contain paraffin wax?
No! At Nola & Bear, it is important to us that your candle burns as clean as possible, with no hidden nasties. Our wax is completely plant based, made of soy and a vegetable based additive.

Why does the end of my wick have a ball on it?
You may have what we call a 'mushroom' at the end of the wick. This is completely normal, however should be trimmed off before you relight your candle. Trimming this off will ensure a clean burn, with no soot around the edges of your jar.

Why is my candle turning yellow?
Some fragrance oils will turn wax slightly yellow if exposed to direct sunlight. This will not affect the burn of your candle at all.

Why isn't my candle burning to the edges?
When you first light your candle, it's important that you let it burn completely to the edges before extinguishing your flame. Burning your candle to the edges can take 3-4 hours and is important to ensure your candle burns evenly to avoid 'tunnelling'.

How do I know when it's time to say goodbye to my candle?
When 1cm of wax is left in your jar, it's time to say goodbye! Continuing to burn the candle with this small amount of wax left can cause the jar to be too hot, and in some cases, explode.
